Ham And Vegetable Stew
|Raw carrots||5 , cubed|
|White turnips||4 , cubed|
|Fresh peas||1 Pound|
|Cooked ham slice/2 cups diced leftover ham||1|
|Chopped parsley||1 Tablespoon (For Garnish)|
Cook the carrots and turnips with the peas in salted water to cover.
Add the diced ham to the vegetables and the water in which they have been cooked, reserving 1/4 cup of the vegetable water.
Mix the flour and butter with the reserved vegetable water.
Add this mixture to thicken the stew slightly.
Before serving, garnish with the chopped parsley.
