Classic Meatball Stew
|Ground beef||1 Pound|
|Egg||1 , slightly beaten|
|Small bread cubes||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Finely chopped onion||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), finely chopped|
|Condensed beef broth||10 1⁄2 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Condensed tomato soup||10 3⁄4 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Thyme leaves||1⁄8 Teaspoon, crushed|
|Canned small whole white potatoes||16 Ounce, drained and cut up (1 Can)|
|Canned sliced carrots||16 Ounce, drained (1 Can)|
Mix thoroughly beef, egg, bread cubes, 1/4 cup onion, and salt.
Shape firmly into 36 meatballs.
In large saucepan, brown meatballs and cook remaining onion in shortening; pour off fat.
Add remaining ingredients.
Heat; stir occasionally.
