Ranchero Supper Stew
|Cubed beef||1 1⁄2 Pound|
|Onion soup mix||1 Ounce (1 Envelope Lipton)|
|Canned whole tomatoes||32 Ounce, undrained (2 Cans, 16 Ounce Each)|
|Water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chili powder||2 Teaspoon|
|Carrots||2 , thinly sliced|
|Green pepper||1 , chopped|
|Celery||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), thinly sliced|
|Potatoes||2 , diced|
In large skillet, heat oil and brown beef; add onion soup mix blended with tomatoes, water, and chili powder.
Simmer, stirring occasionally, 30 minutes.
Add carrots, green pepper, celery, and potatoes; cook covered 45 minutes or until vegetables are tender and gravy is slightly thickened
