Native Codfish Stew
|Salted codfish||1 Pound|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm)|
|Onions||2 Medium, sliced|
|Potatoes||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs), diced|
|Canned tomatoes||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Chopped parsley||2 Teaspoon|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Frozen peas||12 Ounce (1 Package)|
Wash and soak codfish in water overnight.
Drain; separate into small pieces removing bones and skin.
Brown garlic in shortening and remove from pan.
Add codfish and cook for a few minutes.
Add remaining ingredients, cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
