Meatball Stew

Ingredients
  Ground beef 1 1⁄2 Pound
  Egg 1 , beaten
  Soft breadcrumbs 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Chopped onion 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Vegetable oil 1 Tablespoon
  Canned beef broth 10 1⁄2 Ounce, undiluted (1 Can)
  Canned tomato sauce 16 Ounce (Two 8 Ounce Can)
  Dried thyme 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ground pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Frozen mixed vegetables 20 Ounce (Two 10 Ounce Packs)
Directions

Combine ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, 1/4 cup onion, and salt; mix well.
Shape into 1 inch balls.
Saute meatballs and remaining 1/2 cup onion in hot oil until meatballs are browned; drain off excess drippings.
Combine beef broth, tomato sauce, seasonings, and vegetables in a Dutch oven.
Cover and simmer over medium heat 10 minutes.
Add meatballs; cover and simmer 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender and meatballs are done.
