|Soft breadcrumbs||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Chopped onion||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Vegetable oil||1 Tablespoon|
|Canned beef broth||10 1⁄2 Ounce, undiluted (1 Can)|
|Canned tomato sauce||16 Ounce (Two 8 Ounce Can)|
|Dried thyme||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Ground pepper||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Frozen mixed vegetables||20 Ounce (Two 10 Ounce Packs)|
Combine ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, 1/4 cup onion, and salt; mix well.
Shape into 1 inch balls.
Saute meatballs and remaining 1/2 cup onion in hot oil until meatballs are browned; drain off excess drippings.
Combine beef broth, tomato sauce, seasonings, and vegetables in a Dutch oven.
Cover and simmer over medium heat 10 minutes.
Add meatballs; cover and simmer 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender and meatballs are done.
