Minute Steak With Rice

Ingredients
  Steaks 3 Pound
  Salt 3 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Oil 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Black pepper 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Onion 1 , minced
  Water 2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), crushed
  Raw rice 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Bay leaves 2 , crushed
  Onion 1 , sliced
Directions

Cut steaks in 1/4-inch strips, brown in 1/4 cup oil in skillet.
Add minced onion, garlic, bay leaves, 2 teaspoons salt, and pepper; cook gently until steak strips are tender.
Keep warm, combine water and 1 1/2 teaspoons salt in large saucepan; bring to boil; add rice and sliced onion.
Cover.
Simmer for 15 minutes; add remaining oil.
Cover.
Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes, or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed; serve with beef
