|Rump roast||2 Pound|
|Water||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Coarse black pepper||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Chopped onion||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Green peppers||2 , chopped|
|Tomatoes||3 , peeled and chopped|
|Instant garlic powder||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Oregano leaves||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
Put meat in saucepan.
Add water, bay leaf, black pepper and 2 tsp.of salt.
Simmer until meat is very tender, about 3 hours.
With a fork, pull meat apart into strings.
Heat oil, saute' onions until golden.
Add remaining ingredients, including meat, and 3/4 tsp.salt.
Simmer 30 minutes, or until most of the moisture is gone.
Serve over fluffy rice.
