|Canned tomatoes||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
Heat fat in a frying pan, add meat and sear it brown on all sides.
Then arrange in a casserole and cover with onion, carrots, and turnips which have been peeled and chopped very fine, tomatoes, salt and pepper.
Cover tightly and bake in a slow oven of 275Â° F. for 3 hrs.
The gravy may be thickened if desired.
