Oven-barbecued Round Steak
|Round steak||1 1⁄2 Pound, 1 inch thick|
|Salad oil||2 Tablespoon|
|Ketchup||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm)|
|Vinegar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Worcestershire sauce||2 Tablespoon|
|Dry mustard||1 Teaspoon|
Cut beef into strips or squares.
Heat oil in skillet, and brown meat on all sides.
Remove to casserole.
Pour off excess fat from pan, and make sauce by simmering all remaining ingredients a few minutes.
Pour over meat pieces, cover and bake in 325Ã‚Â°F.
oven about 1 hour or until meat is completely tender to the fork, basting occasionally.
Remove garlic before serving.
