Carpet Bagger Steak
|Fresh oysters||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), drained and chopped|
|Chopped fresh mushrooms||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Chopped fresh parsley||2 Teaspoon|
|Bacon slices||2 , cooked and crumbled|
|Crumbled blue cheese||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Sauterne/Other dry white wine||2 Tablespoon|
|Boneless sirloin strip steak||1 3⁄4 Pound|
1 In a skillet, melt butter.
2 Saute oysters, mushrooms, and parsley until the mushrooms are tender.
3 Drain well.
4 Stir in the bacon, cheese, and Sauterne.
5 Keep aside.
6 Using a knife, create a pocket in side of steak.
7 Stuff the oyster mixture in the pocket.
8 Secure with wooden picks.
9 Broil the steaks about 6 inches from heat for 8 to 10 minutes on each side or until desired degree of doneness.
10 Serve hot.
