Braised Steak and onions in Stout
|Braising steak||1 Pound, cut into four pieces (450 Gram)|
|Onions||2 Large, halved and sliced|
|Stout||5 Fluid Ounce (150 Milliliter)|
|Worcestershire sauce||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Seasoned flour||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Freshly milled black pepper||To Taste|
1 In a flameproof casserole, melt a tablespoon of oil until it's sizzling hot.
2 Evenly coat the meat in seasoned flour and add them to the casserole.
3 Brown the pieces on both sides till they're a good rich, brown colour.
4 Remove from the casserole and transfer to a plate.
5 Fry the onions to brown them well at the edges.
6 Arrange the meat on top and season with salt and pepper.
7 Pour in the stout and Worcestershire sauce.
8 Cover the casserole and transfer to the oven.
9 Cook for about 2 1/2 hours or until the meat is tender.
10 Serve hot.
