Skewered Steak

Ingredients
  Sirloin steak 8 Pound, cut 1/2-inch thick
  Soy sauce 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Dry sherry 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Powdered ginger 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Brown sugar 4 Tablespoon
  Grated onion 2 Teaspoon
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), minced
  Canned pineapple chunks 16
  Mushroom caps 16 , sauteed
  Cornstarch 1 Tablespoon
  Pineapple juice 2 Tablespoon
Directions

GETTING READY
1) Cut the meat in 1 inch cubes.
2) In a bowl, combine together soy sauce, cherry, brown sugar, onions and garlic.
3) Marinate the meat in the mixture for 3 hours.

MAKING
4) Drain the meat, reserving the marinade.
5) Thread the meat, pineapple and mushrooms on 6 skewers, starting and ending with the meat.
6) Broil the meat skewers for 4 minutes, or to the desired degree of doneness, turning the skewers to brown evenly.

FINISHING
7) In a pan mix together cornstarch, pineapple juice and marinade.
8) Simmer, stirring steadily until thickened, to make the sauce.

SERVING
9) Serve hot skewers with sauce.
