Chopped Steak Suey

Ingredients
  Lean ground round steak 2 Pound
  Onion 1 , cut in eighths
  Beef bouillon cubes 2
  Hot water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Canned whole mushrooms 4 Ounce, drained reserving liquid (1 Can)
  Soy sauce 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Cornstarch 2 Tablespoon
  Canned water chestnuts 6 1⁄2 Ounce, drained and halved (1 Can)
  Canned bean sprouts 16 Ounce, drained (1 Can)
  Canned chinese vegetables 16 Ounce, drained (1 Can)
  Pimiento strips 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Directions

MAKING
1. In a nonstick skillet, brown the ground meat without any extra oil; add onion and cook for another five minutes and pour away the fat before progressing
2. In a bowl of hot water dissolve the bouillon cubes and mix along with the liquid from the mushrooms and allow to boil
3. Turn the heat down, simmer and let it thicken; add mushrooms, water chestnuts and chinese vegetables and cook till heated through

SERVING
4. Add pimento strips and stir before serving
