Deviled Steak Strips
|Beef round steak||1 1⁄2 Pound|
|All purpose flour||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Chopped onion||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), minced|
|Margarine/Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Tomato sauce||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Prepared horseradish||2 Teaspoon|
|Prepared mustard||2 Teaspoon|
|Homemade noodles/Packaged noodles||1 Cup (16 tbs), cooked|
Trim excess fat from meat.
Cut meat into thin strips about 3 inches long; coat with flour.
In skillet cook meat, onion, and garlic in margarine till meat is browned and onion is tender.
Stir in tomato sauce, vinegar, horseradish, mustard, 2 cups water, 3/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper.
Cover and simmer till meat is tender, about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serve steak strips over hot cooked noodles.
