Flank Steak Jardiniere
|Canned beef gravy||10 3⁄4 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Cooked mixed vegetables||1 Cup (16 tbs), drained|
|Beef flank steak||2 Pound|
|Instant meat tenderizer||1 Teaspoon|
|Garlic powder||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Salad oil||1 Tablespoon|
Preheat broiler if manufacturer directs.
Simmer gravy with Worcestershire and drained vegetables a few minutes; keep warm.
With sharp knife, score steak in diamond pattern on both sides; sprinkle with tenderizer as label directs, then with garlic powder and pepper; brush both sides with salad oil.
Place steak on greased broiler; broil about 4 minutes on each side for "rare." Arrange on heated platter, then cut diagonally, across grain, into very thin slices.
Pass with vegetable gravy.
