Citrus Simmered Steak
|Boneless chuck steak||2 1⁄2 Pound (About 2-Inch Thick)|
|Orange juice||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Barbecue sauce/Catsup||2 Tablespoon|
|Dried onion flakes||2 Tablespoon|
|Orange peel||1 Teaspoon, grated|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Canned sliced mushrooms||4 Ounce, drained (1 Can)|
|Orange||1 , sliced and halved|
In 3-quart casserole dish, combine steak, juice, barbecue sauce, onion and orange peel.
Cover with glass lid.
TO HEAT BY AUTO SENSOR: Heat on COOK A2.
After time appears in display window, turn steak over.
Time: about 35 minutes.
TO HEAT BY TIME: Heat at high5 minutes and at LOW 60 minutes, or until steak is tender.
Turn steak over, halfway through cooking time.
TO COMPLETE: Remove steak to serving platter.
Let stand, covered, 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, blend cornstarch with water; stir into casserole.
Add mushrooms and orange.
Heat at high2 to 3 minutes, or until sauce is thickened.
