Sliced mushrooms/1/2 cup 4-oz sliced canned mushrooms
Chopped parsley/1 tablespoon parsley flakes
Poultry seasoning/Ground thyme
Water/1/3 cup red wine and 2/3 cup water
1 Cup (16 tbs)
Cut steak into 6 pieces or leave whole.
Brown in butter in hot fry pan.
After browned on one side, turn; top with onions and mushrooms.
Sprinkle with parsley, salt, pepper and poultry seasoning.
Pour water over all.
Lower heat; cover and simmer for I 1/2 to 2 hours until tender.
If desired, garnish with additional parsley before serving.
