Mushroom Topped Flank Steak

Ingredients
  Flank steak/Round steak 1 1⁄2 Pound, cut 1/2-inch thick
  Butter/Margarine 1 Teaspoon
  Onion 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped
  Sliced mushrooms/1/2 cup 4-oz sliced canned mushrooms 8 Ounce
  Chopped parsley/1 tablespoon parsley flakes 2 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Poultry seasoning/Ground thyme 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Water/1/3 cup red wine and 2/3 cup water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

Cut steak into 6 pieces or leave whole.
Brown in butter in hot fry pan.
After browned on one side, turn; top with onions and mushrooms.
Sprinkle with parsley, salt, pepper and poultry seasoning.
Pour water over all.
Lower heat; cover and simmer for I 1/2 to 2 hours until tender.
If desired, garnish with additional parsley before serving.
