Steak With Prunes

Ingredients
  Brown sugar 4 Tablespoon
  Rump steak 2 Pound (1 Kilogram)
  Flour 3 Tablespoon
  Ground ginger 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Mustard 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Curry powder 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Mixed spices 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Vinegar 3 Tablespoon
  Port wine 3 Tablespoon
  Worcestershire sauce 1 Teaspoon
  Tomato sauce 2 Tablespoon
  Lemon 1 , juiced
  Grated lemon rind 1
  Bacon slices 2 , finely chopped
  Chopped prunes 1⁄2 Pound (250 Gram)
  Chopped parsley 1 Tablespoon
  Onions 3 , sliced
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
Directions

1. Heat the sugar in a heavy saucepan until well browned.
2. Cut the steak into 1 inch (2 1/2 cm) cubes, roll in flour and salt and pepper and brown in the sugar.
3. Add the sliced onions and cook until all the meat and onion are well covered with caramel.
4. Mix in all the other ingredients and cook very slowly for at least 2 hours.
