Gourmet Pepper Steak
|Top round steak||1 1⁄2 Pound (1/2 Inch Thick)|
|Vegetable oil||1 Tablespoon|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), minced|
|Soy sauce||2 Tablespoon|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Instant beef bouillon||1 Teaspoon|
|Green pepper||2 Cup (32 tbs) (1 Inch Chunks)|
|Thinly sliced onion||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Celery stalks||2 Large, sliced|
|Pimiento||2 Ounce, chopped (1 Jar)|
Cut steak in thin strips.
Preheat browning dish on HI (max. power) 7 minutes.
Smear oil over dish and add beef strips.
Cook on HI (max. power) 2 to 3 minutes, flipping strips after 1 minute, or when strips are brown.
Stir; add garlic.
Cook, covered, on 70 (roast) 7 minutes.
Dissolve cornstarch in soy sauce and add to meat.
If your browning dish is too small to hold meat and remaining ingredients transfer to 2-quart casserole.
Blend in remaining ingredients.
Cook, covered, on HI (max. power) 8 to 1 0 minutes, or until vegetables are just tender.
Let stand 5 minutes before serving
