Steamed Whitefish Steak

This Steamed Whitefish Steak recipe was very good, just like the one I used to have in Chinese restaurants. This Steamed Whitefish Steak recipe has been a regular in my home from the day I made it. Try it!
Ingredients
  White fish steak 1
  Mushrooms 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Smoked ham 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Ginger root slice 3
  Preserved lemon peel 1 Teaspoon
  Soy sauce 2 Tablespoon
  Oil 2 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

1. Score skin of fish crosswise with several slashes. Place fish in a heatproof dish.
2. Slice mushrooms, ham, ginger root and preserved lemon peel, then combine with soy sauce, oil and salt. Pour mixture over fish. Refrigerate, covered, 30 minutes.
3. Steam until done, about 20 minutes
