Savory Swiss Steak is an amazingly delicious version of side dish. An easy to prepare recipe, Savory Swiss Steak is a dish that you will surely love to talk about with us.
  All purpose flour 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Dry mustard 1 Tablespoon
  Round steak 1 1⁄2 Pound, cut 1 inch thick
  Salad oil/Shortening, / bacon fat 2 Tablespoon
  Canned tomatoes 1 Pound (1 Can)
  Sliced onions 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Diced celery 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Carrots 3 , diced
  Worcestershire 2 Tablespoon
  Brown sugar 1 Tablespoon
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste

Mix flour, mustard, salt, and pepper.
Sprinkle meat with the mixture and pound it into the steak with a meat pounder, a potato masher, or the edge of a plate.
Cut pounded steak into individual portions.
Heat the oil in a heavy frying pan or Dutch oven over medium-high heat; brown meat on both sides in the oil.
Pour remaining ingredients over meat; add salt and pepper to taste.
Cover and bake in a 350° oven, or simmer on top of the stove, for about 1 1/2 hours.
