Savory Swiss Steak Strips
|Flour||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Beef round steak||3 Pound, cut in 0.75 inch strips|
|Vegetable oil||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Thinly sliced onions||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), crushed|
|Beef bouillon||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Thyme leaf||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
1. Combine flour, salt, paprika, and pepper. Coat meat with mixture. Reserve 3 tablespoons of seasoned flour mixture. Brown meat in hot oil; remove from pan to a baking dish.
2. Saute' onion and garlic in remaining oil for about 3 minutes. Mix in reserved seasoned flour.
3. Add bouillon, salt, thyme, and bay leaf; mix well. Pour bouillon mixture over meat; cover.
4. Bake at 325Â°F 1 1/2 hours, or until beef is tender.
