Swank Porterhouse Steak
|Porterhouse steak/Sirloin steak||3 Pound (About 2 Inches Thick)|
|Finely chopped bermuda onion||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Garlic||2 Clove (10 gm), minced|
|Celery salt||1 Dash|
|Cooking claret||3 Tablespoon|
|Soy sauce||2 Tablespoon|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Canned broiled sliced mushrooms||3 Ounce, drained|
Slash fat edge of steak€”don't cut into meat.
Slitting from fat side, cut pocket in each side of lean, almost to bone.
Combine onion and garlic, salt, pepper, and celery salt; fill pockets in steak.
Mix claret and soy sauce; brush on steak.
Grill over hot coals a total of 25 minutes or till done to your liking, turning once €” brush occasionally with soy mixture.
Heat butter and mushrooms, pour over steak.
Slice across grain and serve sizzling!
