Tomato-Filled Squash

Ingredients
  Yellow crookneck squash 8
  Green pepper To Taste
  Tomatoes 3
  Onions 2 Medium
  Bacon slices 3
  American cheese 1⁄2 Pound
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Dry bread crumbs 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Butter 2 Tablespoon
Directions

Cook squash in boiling salted water for 5 minutes or until just tender; drain.
Halve squash lengthwise; scoop out pulp.
Combine pulp with green pepper, tomatoes, onions, bacon, cheese, salt and pepper.Spoon filling into squash cavities.
Top each with bread crumbs; dot with butter.
Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
