1. Wash and slice squash ½ inch thick with skin.
2. Peel and slice onions.
3. In a bowl, combine flour, corn meal and seasonings.
4. Toss the squash and onion slices in it until well coated.
5. In a frying pan, melt the butter over a medium flame.
6. Add the scalloped vegetables to the butter and fry until evenly golden brown.
