Glazed Butternut Squash

Glazed Butternut Squash is an irresistible side dish recipe. Once you try this effortlessly prepared simple recipe at your dinner party, I bet you would surely get a huge fan following.
  Butternut squash 2 Pound
  Brown sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), firmly packed
  Cinnamon 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg/Ginger 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Butter 3 Tablespoon, melted

1. Peel, seed and slice the squash. Place on a rack in a pot with a tight-fitting cover, add water to cover bottom of pot, cover and steam until squash is nearly tender, twelve to fifteen minutes. Drain the squash well.
2. Preheat oven to hot (400° F.).
3. Arrange the squash in one or two layers in a greased shallow baking dish. Mix sugar, spices and salt and sprinkle over the squash. Drizzle with the melted butter.
4. Bake until the squash is tender and somewhat glazed, fifteen to twenty minutes. For a deeper glaze, broil a few minutes.
