Chicken-Mushroom Spread Specials

Ingredients
  Butter/Margarine 3 Tablespoon
  Minced onion 1 Tablespoon
  Flour 2 Tablespoon
  Milk 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Grated parmesan cheese 4 Tablespoon
  Ground cooked chicken 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Mushrooms/Canned mushroom stems and pieces minced and drained 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Buttered toast slices 6
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
Directions

Melt butter or margarine in large skillet and add minced onion; fry until tender.
Blend in flour; gradually add milk and 2 tablespoons grated cheese.
Stir in chicken and mushrooms.
Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Spread on buttered toast and sprinkle with remaining 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese.
(If serving as appetizers, cut each piece of toast into quarters.) Serve hot.
