Sesame & Green Pea Spread

Ingredients
  Sesame seeds 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Butter/Margarine 2 Tablespoon
  Onion 1 Small, chopped
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), minced
  Frozen peas 10 Ounce (1 Package)
  Water 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Tamari 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Lemon juice 2 Teaspoon
Directions

Toast sesame seeds in a heavy ungreased skillet over medium heat until lightly browned. Stir frequently. Remove seeds to a bowl and set aside.
Melt butter or margarine in the same skillet. Add onion and garlic and saute until onion is soft. Stir in frozen peas, 1/4 cup water, tamari and salt. Cook about 5 minutes until peas are just tender.
Puree pea mixture in a blender with lemon juice. Remove to a bowl and stir in sesame seeds.
Store in a covered container in the refrigerator.
