Creamy Apricot Snack Spread

Ingredients
  Canned milk 14 Ounce (1 Can, Not Evaporated Milk)
  Finely chopped dried apricots/Finely chopped dried dates 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Finely chopped nuts 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Vanilla extract 1 Teaspoon
Directions

In heavy saucepan, over medium heat, combine sweetened condensed milk and apricots; cook and stir until thickened, about 8 minutes.
Remove from heat; stir in nuts and vanilla.
Serve as a spread with plain or cheese crackers or cookies.
Store covered at room temperature.
MICROWAVE: In 1-quart glass measure, combine sweetened condensed milk and apricots.
Microwave on 1/2 power (medium) 5 to 6 minutes, stirring after 3 minutes.
Stir in nuts and vanilla.
