Best Of The Wurst Spread
|Chopped onion||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Liverwurst||16 Ounce (1 Package)|
|Salad dressing/Mayonnaise||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Chopped dill pickle||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Horseradish mustard/Spicy brown mustard||2 Teaspoon|
|Capers||1 Tablespoon, drained|
|Dried dill weed||2 Teaspoon|
|Dill pickle||1⁄4 Small, cut into strips|
|Cocktail rye bread||1 (For Serving)|
Heat butter in small saucepan over medium heat until melted.
Add onion; cook and stir 5 minutes or until tender.
Mash liverwurst with fork in medium bowl; beat in onion, mayonnaise, chopped dill pickle, mustard, capers and dill weed.
Form liverwurst mixture into football shape on serving plate; decorate with dill pickle strips to look like football laces
