Hearty Herbed Cheese Spread
|Onion soup mix||1 1⁄4 Ounce|
|Cream cheese||16 Ounce, softened (Two 8 Ounce Packages)|
|Shredded sharp cheddar cheese||8 Ounce (2 Cups)|
|Chopped fresh parsley||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Dried basil leaves||1 Teaspoon, crushed|
|Tarragon leaves||1 Teaspoon, crushed|
|Dried dill weed||1⁄2 Teaspoon, crushed|
|Cracked pepper||2 Tablespoon|
|Paprika||To Taste (For Garnish)|
In medium bowl, combine soup mix, cheeses, parsley, milk, basil, tarragon and dill; beat with wooden spoon until well blended.
Line 9-inch pie plate with plastic wrap, letting wrap hang over edge.
Spoon cheese mixture into pie plate, packing down firmly.
Cover; chill until serving time, at least 4 hours.
Invert pie plate over serving dish and remove pie plate and plastic from cheese.
Smooth surface of cheese with a knife to remove any wrinkles.
Press cracked pepper into sides of cheese; sprinkle top with paprika.
