Cardamom Coffee Braid
|Milk||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Dry yeast||20 Gram|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Eggs||4 , slightly beaten|
|Soft butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Cardamom||1 , crushed|
Heat milk in saucepan until warm; add yeast.
Let stand for 5 minutes; stir until dissolved.
Add sugar, eggs, butter, salt and cardamom seed.
Add flour to make stiff dough; knead until smooth.
Let rise until doubled in bulk.
Divide into 3 equal portions; divide each portion into 3 sections.
Roll into long rolls; braid 3 rolls together, making 3 braids.
Place on baking sheet; let rise until doubled in bulk.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes; frost with confectioners' sugar glaze if desired.
