Golden Saffron Cake

Ingredients
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Saffron shreds 8 (Individual Pieces)
  Eggs 2
  Pure vanilla extract 1 Teaspoon
  Sifted cake flour 2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Baking powder 1 Tablespoon
  Milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

GETTING READY
1 Preheat the oven to 375┬░Fahrenheit.
2 Grease two 8-inch cake pans and dust with flour.

MAKING
3 In a bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
3 Mix in the finely crushed saffron.
4 Add in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
5 Stir in vanilla.
6 In a bowl, sift flour, salt and baking powder together.
7 Mix in the butter mixture alternately with milk.
8 Set at a low speed, if using the mixer while mixing in flour.
9 In the two prepared pans, pour the batter
10 Bake inthe oven for 25 minutes.
11 Remove from the pans and allow to cool.
12 Frost with Lemon Frosting.

SERVING
13 Decorate with Poppy Seed, Multicolored Decors or Yellow Crystal Decors for added appeal.
