  French bread slice 6 , crusts removed
  Sweet butter 2 Tablespoon, melted
  Mushrooms 16 Medium, thinly sliced (1 1/2 cups / 375 ml)
  Grated cheddar cheese 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Grated colby cheese 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Bacon slices 6 , cooked and crumbed
  Green onions 4 Small, chopped
  Eggs 4
  Milk 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Dijon mustard 2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Freshly ground black pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Paprika 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Cayenne pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon

1. Cut bread into cubes to measure 2 cups (500 ml). In bottom of 8-inch (20-cm) square baking dish, arrange bread cubes. Drizzle butter over cubes.
2. Scatter mushroom slices, cheeses, bacon and green onions over bread cubes.
3. In a bowl, beat eggs, milk, mustard, salt, pepper, paprika and cayenne until frothy. Pour over mixture in pan, cover and refrigerate overnight.
4. Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Bake for 1 hour, until just firm and lightly browned.
