Ginger Balls

Ingredients
  Shortening 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs), melted
  Sugar 1
  Molasses 1 Cup (16 tbs) (light)
  Egg 1 , beaten
  All purpose flour 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Baking soda 1 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Cloves 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ginger 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

In a large bowl, cream shortening and sugar.
Stir in molasses and egg.
In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and salt.
Add flour mixture gradually to molasses mixture.
Stir until dough is smooth.
Mould into 1-inch balls, roll balls in sugar, and bake in a 375°F oven for 10 to 15 minutes, or until ginger balls are light brown.
