Anise Carrots

Ingredients
  Baby carrots 3⁄4 Pound, cut in half lengthwise
  Unsweetened apple juice 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Brown sugar 1 Tablespoon
  Cornstarch 1 Teaspoon
  Anise seeds 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Salt 1 Dash
Directions

Arrange carrot in a vegetable steamer over boiling water.
Cover and steam 6 minutes or until carrot is tender; drain.
Transfer to a serving platter, and keep warm.
Combine apple juice and remaining ingredients in a small saucepan; stir until smooth.
Cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat until mixture is thickened and bubbly.
Pour over carrot, and toss gently.
