Try this Ginger Ball Cookies. An easily prepared snack recipe, Ginger Ball Cookies is a dish that you will always love to include in your menu.
  Shortening 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Egg 1 , well beaten
  Molasses 4 Teaspoon
  Regular all purpose flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Soda 2 Teaspoon
  Ground cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Ginger 1 Teaspoon
  Ground cloves 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Granulated sugar 1 Tablespoon

Cream shortening with sugar in a large mixing bowl.
Mix in egg and molasses.
Sift and measure flour; sift again with the soda, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and salt.
Stir the dry ingredients into the mixture in the bowl.
Mix well.
Shape dough into one-inch balls and roll each one in granulated sugar.
Place at least 4 inches apart on a greased cooky sheet, and bake in a 375° oven for about 12 minutes.
Remove from pan to cool.
