Fruity Baked Spareribs
|Pork spareribs||2 Pound|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm)|
|Canned crushed pineapple||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||2 Tablespoon|
|Dry mustard||1 Teaspoon|
|Ground black pepper||To Taste|
|Orange juice||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Place spareribs in a baking dish in a hot oven on the shelf just above the centre.
Bake for 30-45 minutes to brown ribs (without burning) turning once during browning.
Remove from oven and pour off as much fat as possible.
Mix together garlic, pineapple, brown sugar, vinegar, mustard, salt, pepper, orange juice and allspice.
Pour mixture over spareribs and return to centre shelf of oven.
Reduce heat to moderate and cook, turning occasionally, for 45 minutes, or until meat is tender and glazed.
Spoon off any fat before serving.
