Saffron Poached Apples with Maple Mascarpone
Place water butter 2 tablespoons sugar and salt in medium saucepan bring to a boil over high heat. Remove from heat add flour. Beat with spoon until dough forms ball and releases from side of pan. Vigorously beat in eggs 1 at a time until mixture is smooth.
Stir together flour baking powder and salt. Cut in shortening till mixture resembles cornmeal. Slowly add water stir with a fork dough will be crumbly . Turn onto a floured surface knead into a smooth ball. Divide dough in half cover and let stand 10 minutes.
Heat oven to 375 quick mod. . Measure flour by dipping method or by sifting. Stir dry ingredients together add sugar and rolled oats. Mix in oil milk and egg thoroughly. Add peanuts. Drop tea spoonfuls of dough about 2 apart on lightly greased baking sheet.
