  • Wines: Alicante is famous for its fruity white wines and full bodied red wines. It is believed that “El Fondilon” was the popular Alicante wine which was relished by the King and Queen of Spain, around four centuries ago.
  • Desserts and Fruits: Alicantefood traditions impinge a lot of usage of natural and fresh local produces to the maximum. The fruits of the region are largely substituted for artificial sweeteners during the preparation of desserts. Fruits such as oranges, pomegranates and dates are the typical produces of the region.
