|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), minced|
|Tomatoes||2 , chopped|
|Green peppers||2 , chopped|
|Spanish sausages||2 , cut in 1 inch pieces|
|Cabbage||1⁄2 Small, shredded|
|Carrots||3 , scraped and cut in 1-inch pieces|
|Potatoes||1 Pound, quartered|
|Green beans||1⁄2 Pound, cut in 1 inch pieces|
|Canned chickpeas||1 Pound (Drained)|
Brown beef on all sides in fat in deep kettle.
Add salt, pepper, water, ham, onion, garlic, tomatoes, and green peppers; bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour; add remaining ingredients.
Cook for 30 minutes, or until meat and vegetables are tender.
