Churros are fried dough pastry snacks from Spain. This recipe for churros is prepared with flour, sugar, water and eggs. Fried in oil flavored with lemon slices, the churros are cooked to a golden brown and rolled in sugar before serving. Sweet and snacky, the churros can be served either as sweet snacks or desserts.
  Oil 2 Cup (32 tbs) (For Deep Frying)
  Lime/Lemon 1 , cut in half
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Tablespoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  All purpose flour 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Egg 1 Large
  Granulated sugar 1 Tablespoon

Start heating oil in a deep kettle or saucepan; add lime or lemon halves.
Put water, sugar, and salt into a.
saucepan and heat to boiling.
Remove from heat and beat in flour until smooth.
Add egg and continue to beat until mixture is smooth and satiny.
Remove lime pieces from the oil, which should be between 365° and 375°F.
Force batter through pastry tube into hot fat.
Fry until golden brown.
Remove from fat and drain on absorbent paper.
Break into 3 inch lengths.
Roll in granulated sugar.
