Spanish Cake

Ingredients
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Butter 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Egg yolks 2
  Flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Baking powder 1 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1 Tablespoon
  Milk 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Egg whites 2 , beaten
Directions

Cream sugar and butter. Add egg yolks and beat well. Sift flour, baking powder, and cinnamon together. Add alternately with milk. Fold in egg whites. Bake in greased pan for about 30 minutes, or until cake tests done. Remove from oven and spread on Broiled Topping (below) immediately. Put under broiler until bubbly (watch carefully—this takes only a minute or two!).
