|Plain flour||8 Ounce (225 g)|
|Egg||1 , beaten (size 3)|
|Oil||2 Cup (32 tbs) (for deep frying)|
|Ground cinnamon||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Caster sugar||2 Ounce (50 g)|
Place 16 fl oz/475 ml water in a saucepan with the salt.
Bring to the boil, then add the flour (all at once) and beat until the mixture forms a ball.
Cool slightly, then beat in the egg.
Heat the oil for deep frying to 350°F, 180°C.
Place churros mixture in a piping bag fitted with a 1/2 in/1.25 cm star nozzle and pipe 3 in/7.5 cm lengths into the oil -about four at a time.
Fry for 2-3 mins, or until golden, then drain on kitchen paper and transfer to a serving bowl.
Mix cinnamon and sugar, then place in separate bowl for dipping.
Serve churros immediately.
(If liked, serve the Churros with either a home-made chocolate or butterscotch sauce.)
