|Ground beef chuck||1 Pound|
|Bacon drippings||2 Tablespoon|
|Onion||1 Medium, chopped|
|Diced green pepper||3 Tablespoon|
|Canned mushrooms||3 1⁄2 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Tomato sauce||5 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Instant rice||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
Brown the ground beef in the bacon drippings, then add the onion, green pepper, mushrooms, tomato sauce, salt and water.
Simmer for at least 2 hours or longer, adding water if needed.
Add the rice and cover.
Cook for 15 minutes longer.
