Spanish Rice

Ingredients
  Ground beef chuck 1 Pound
  Bacon drippings 2 Tablespoon
  Onion 1 Medium, chopped
  Diced green pepper 3 Tablespoon
  Canned mushrooms 3 1⁄2 Ounce (1 Can)
  Tomato sauce 5 Ounce (1 Can)
  Salt To Taste
  Water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Instant rice 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Directions

Brown the ground beef in the bacon drippings, then add the onion, green pepper, mushrooms, tomato sauce, salt and water.
Simmer for at least 2 hours or longer, adding water if needed.
Add the rice and cover.
Cook for 15 minutes longer.
