Basque Sauce

Ingredients
  Hamburger 1⁄2 Pound
  Fat 3 Tablespoon
  Chopped onion 2 Tablespoon
  Chopped celery 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Flour 2 Tablespoon
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Chopped green pepper 2 Tablespoon
  Chili powder 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Cooked tomatoes 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Directions

Brown the hamburger in the fat in a heavy skillet, then add the onion and celery.
Cook until lightly browned.
Stir in the flour, then blend in the remaining ingredients.
Simmer for 1 hour or longer.
Serve over rice, noodles or toast points.
