Spanish Apple Pie
|Pastry||1 (1 Recipe)|
|Apples||2 Large (1 Recipe)|
|Top milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Eggs||1 Large (May Use 2 Small)|
Line deep pie plate with pastry.
Slice apple very thinly.
Sprinkle 1/2 cup sugar over top of apples.
Make custard by scalding milk, beat egg and add sugar, vanilla, salt.
Add egg mixture to scalded milk.
Pour over apples.
Sprinkle top with nutmeg or cinnamon.
Bake at 350° F. for 45 minutes.
