Man Style Spanish Steak
|Chuck/Blade steak||2 Pound (1 Kilogram)|
|Dry instant meat tenderizer||4 Tablespoon|
|Fat||30 Milliliter (2 Tablespoons)|
|Onion soup mix||1 1⁄4 Ounce (1 Envelope)|
|Green pepper||1 , seeded and sliced|
|Canned tomatoes||375 Milliliter (1 1/2 Cup)|
|Dry sherry||125 Milliliter (1/2 Cups)|
Trim fat from the steak and prick meat on both sides with a fork.
Dampen meat with water and sprinkle generously with tenderizer.
Brown on both sides in hot fat and arrange in a shallow casserole.
Sprinkle with soup mix.
Add bay leaf, sliced peppers, tomatoes and sherry.
Cover and bake at 350F (180C) for 1 hour or until tender.
