Man Style Spanish Steak

Ingredients
  Chuck/Blade steak 2 Pound (1 Kilogram)
  Dry instant meat tenderizer 4 Tablespoon
  Fat 30 Milliliter (2 Tablespoons)
  Onion soup mix 1 1⁄4 Ounce (1 Envelope)
  Bay leaf 1
  Green pepper 1 , seeded and sliced
  Canned tomatoes 375 Milliliter (1 1/2 Cup)
  Dry sherry 125 Milliliter (1/2 Cups)
Directions

Trim fat from the steak and prick meat on both sides with a fork.
Dampen meat with water and sprinkle generously with tenderizer.
Brown on both sides in hot fat and arrange in a shallow casserole.
Sprinkle with soup mix.
Add bay leaf, sliced peppers, tomatoes and sherry.
Cover and bake at 350F (180C) for 1 hour or until tender.
