Spaghetti With Meat Sauce

  Lean ground beef 1 Pound
  Onion 1 Small, finely chopped
  Green pepper 1⁄2 , finely chopped
  Canned tomato sauce 15 Ounce
  Canned tomato paste 12 Ounce
  Canned chopped ripe olives 4 1⁄2 Ounce (Drained)
  Canned mushroom 4 Ounce, drained chopped
  Water 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1 Teaspoon
  Oregano 1 Teaspoon
  Thyme 1 Teaspoon
  Basil 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), crushed
  Bay leaf 1

Combine meat and onion in Dutch oven; cook until meat is browned and onion tender.
Skim off excess fat.
Add remaining ingredients; cover.
Simmer 1 1/2 hours; partially cover.
Simmer 1 hour or until sauce is thick; stir occasionally during cooking.
