Italian Sausage Spaghetti
|Parsley flakes||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Garlic||2 Clove (10 gm)|
|Crushed tomatoes||28 Ounce (1 can)|
|Mild italian sausage||1 Pound|
|Red wine||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Water||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
1.Heat a skillet, and brown the sausage and set aside.
2.Slice the mushrooms and the garlic.
3.Chop up the sausages.
4.In a cold sauce pan which is not heated, add the crushed tomatoes, red wine, garlic, mushrooms, a tablespoon of the oregano and basil mixture, dried parsley,sausage and water. Stir it.
5.Heat the sauce pan and let the contents come to a boil. Stir continuously.
6.Turn down the heat and let it simmer on low heat for 45 minutes. Check from time to time to ensure that the sauce does not become too thick.
7.Season with salt and pepper.
8.Put enough water to boil in order to cook the pasta. Add some salt to it.
9.Once the water comes to a rolling boil, add the spaghetti.
10.Cook for about 15 minutes and check whether it is done.
11.Drain the pasta into a colander.
12.Divide the pasta on two serving plates.
13.Ladle in the sausage sauce on top of the hot pasta.
14.Serve the spaghetti warm with some bread sticks.
